Diaz raises concerns over steroid use ahead of potential Jake Paul bout
UFC fighter Nate Diaz appears to have requested a new stipulation for his proposed boxing match against Jake Paul, after raising concerns over Paul’s alleged steroid use. Diaz, who has a professional boxing record of 20 wins and 12 losses, posted on Twitter that he would only fight Paul under the condition that the former Disney Channel star undergoes a series of drug tests to prove he’s clean.
Diaz’s tweet read: “I’ll fight that Jake Paul fella… under one condition: [You] prove you’re a clean athlete by signing up for Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA) testing. We’ll see you soon.”
Jake Paul hit back with accusations of his own
Jake Paul, who currently has an unbeaten record of 3-0 in his professional boxing career, soon hit back at Diaz’s allegations of steroid use. The YouTuber-turned-boxer posted a video on social media, in which he went on the offensive, accusing Diaz of being a hypocrite.
“That’s rich coming from a guy who’s failed multiple drug tests in the UFC,” Paul said in the video. “You want to talk about being clean? How about you start with yourself, Nate?”
Fight fans eagerly anticipate Diaz’s response
As the war of words between Diaz and Paul continues to escalate, fight fans around the world are eagerly anticipating the UFC fighter’s response to Paul’s latest video. Diaz, who is known for his outspoken personality and willingness to take on all challengers, has yet to respond directly to Paul’s accusation.
However, many fans believe that Diaz will not back down from his demands for drug testing, and that he remains the most likely candidate to accept a fight against Paul. If the two fighters meet in the ring, it could mark one of the most highly anticipated boxing bouts of the year, and a chance for Diaz to gain revenge on behalf of MMA fighters everywhere.
