The romance between Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce and pop superstar Taylor Swift may be on the rocks, as the couple left the MetLife Stadium separately after the Chiefs’ win over the New York Jets on Sunday night.
A different exit strategy
Last week, the pair made headlines when they left the Arrowhead Stadium together in a getaway car after the Chiefs’ victory over the Chicago Bears. Swift, who was seen wearing Chiefs gear and cheering for her new beau from a VIP suite, also joined Kelce at a private party with his teammates later that night.
However, this week, the situation was different. Kelce was spotted leaving the locker room without Swift by his side, wearing a plain white t-shirt and a black baseball cap. He posed for photos with some fans before heading to the team bus.
Swift, on the other hand, was seen leaving the stadium shortly after, locking arms with her friend Sophie Turner. The singer did not appear to interact with Kelce or his family, who were also in attendance.
A star-studded affair
Swift and Kelce’s relationship has been the talk of the town since they were first linked last month. The Grammy winner has been supporting the NFL star at his games, along with her famous friends.
At the MetLife Stadium, Swift watched the game from a star-studded suite that included Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Sabrina Carpenter and Shawn Levy. She also mingled with Kelce’s mom, Donna, and Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
Swift was seen energetically rooting for the Chiefs throughout the game, throwing her hands in the air and screaming whenever they scored. She even seemed to be settling into her new role as a WAG, pointing and explaining things to Lively from their seats.
A mystery visit
The couple’s separate exits came as a surprise to many fans, who were hoping to see more of their chemistry. Earlier that day, Kelce was seen leaving Swift’s New York City apartment at around 11 a.m., before making his way back to the Chiefs’ hotel in Weehawken, NJ.
It is unclear what the two did during their time together, or why they decided to part ways after the game. Some fans speculated that they may have had a fight, while others suggested that they were just trying to avoid the paparazzi.
